| In
1991, Winnipeg's production of the World Curling Championships
launched world curling to new levels, ultimately setting an
entirely new and exciting direction for the event. |

|
The
Winnipeg you will discover in 2003 offers tremendous attributes
for visitors from near and far. You'll find vibrant new shopping
destinations and a abundance of dining opportunities, offering
cuisine choices as sensational and widespread as the nations
of the World Curling Federation. For entertainment beyond
the event itself, there are fabulous night clubs and intimate
night spots, world class performing arts, theatres, museums,
casinos, a year-round zoo and attractions for curiosity-seekers
of all ages.
Anchored
by the historic Forks Market national historic site and the
legendary Exchange District, Winnipeg's downtown is bustling
with energy, steeped in tradition and just minutes from the
curling arena. There's never a shortage of sights and sounds,
song and dance - almost always with the international, multi-cultural
flavour that truly is Winnipeg. And never will this be more
evident than during the nine days of the Ford World Curling
Championships.
So,
get your tickets now....get in plenty of practice on how to
have a good time, and get yourself ready for the Ford World
Curling Championships Winnipeg 2003.
This
is where the world is won. But more importantly, this is where
the world has fun!

For
9 days and nights, the best men's and women's teams will
renew an annual rivalry known as the Ford
World Curling Championships.
And
you can be there for every exciting moment of all 23
draws - all topped off with the
magic of worldly culture, social activity and international
exchange - trademarks of this championship that make it
one of the most treasured in the entire world of sport.

In
April, 2003 the best men's and women's teams in the world
will be here once again to renew their annual rivalry - one
that is laced with the intrigue of intense competitive spirit
- but topped off with a combination of cultural diversity,
social activity and international exchange, that make it one
of the most treasured championships in the entire world of
sport.
Much
like the game of curling, great strides have been taken in
Winnipeg since 1991. We have experienced exciting growth in
almost every sector and the momemtum continues to build every
day. Yet when the competing nations of the World Curling Federation
arrive here next April, they will discover something that
will never change. Winnipeg is still a small town at heart,
and friendly is still the adjective that best describes
us.
No
wonder we have so much in common with the sport of curling!

| Extra
End Pub - You can't have a curling
championship without a place for the real stars of the show
to gather between and after the games. In 2003, the place for
fans will be the Extra End Pub. This pub is going to rock every
day and night with live entertainment, great food, drinks and
merriment. And best of all, it's located just a quiet draw shot
away from the Arena in a comfortable, climate-controlled facility
on the football field at Canad Inns Stadium. |

|
|
| Besides
the world class curling action at Winnipeg Arena, there's already
a long list of value-added activities for our visitors: |
