Winnipeg Free Press World Express Curling Tickets Available at Safeway Stores

The Winnipeg Free Press and Canada Safeway, two proud partners of the 2003 Ford World Curling Championships are teaming up to offer curling fans of all ages a special price on single draw tickets for selected draws of the upcoming World championships to be staged at the Winnipeg Arena, April 5-13, 2003.

Beginning on March 12, all Safeway stores in Winnipeg, and the Safeway stores in Steinbach, Selkirk and Portage la Prairie, will be selling single draw tickets for just $12.00 (includes taxes and agency fee). This represents more than a $5.00 saving on these single draw tickets. The special allotment will make available 2003 tickets for each of the draws 1 through 8, and draws 10, 11, 13, 14, 16 and 17 and will be available on a "first-come first serve" basis until April 4th at these Canada Safeway outlets at the stores' customer service counters.

"In total, just over 28,000 single draw tickets will be available through this Safeway stores promotion. The Winnipeg Free Press/Canada Safeway ticket promotion will ensure this world-class curling event is accessible to as many individuals and families who would like to attend the World Championships at the very reasonable price of $12.00," said Zivan Saper, President of the 2003 Ford World Curling Championships.

In addition to seeing the world's best curlers in action at the Winnipeg Arena, these single draw tickets also provide ticket holders "Free Admission" to the 40,000 sq. foot EXTRA END PUB Entertainment Centre located on the football field at Canad Inns Stadium. Throughout the 2003 Ford Worlds the Entertainment Centre will feature a great line up of entertainers, plus food and beverage services.
